TP-Link Company History

TP-Link was founded in 1996 in Shenzhen, China. Initially, the company focused on manufacturing network cards and hubs. In the 2000s, TP-Link entered the home router market and quickly became one of the leaders thanks to affordable pricing and good quality. In the 2010s, the company expanded its portfolio to include professional business solutions (Omada series), mesh systems (Deco), and IP cameras (Tapo and Vigi).

Today, TP-Link is the world's largest router manufacturer, surpassing giants such as Netgear, Asus, and D-Link. The company is actively developing Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7 technologies, as well as software-defined networking (SDN).
