The portable technical device for passport control (PTSPK) is designed for standalone control of persons and vehicles in locations not equipped with stationary passport control devices. It is a compact device protected against dust and moisture (IP53) that enables border guards to verify documents in any conditions: outdoors, in field camps, and in temporary accommodation centers.
The PTSPK is the ideal solution for mobile workstations of border service officers operating in field conditions and locations without stationary infrastructure.
The PTSPK can be used both standalone and as part of integrated passport control solutions. At stationary checkpoints it is recommended to use APM ASPK automatic passage modules, and for in-depth document authenticity verification — ARM SPD.

Border control is a necessary and responsible procedure. For foreigners, it is where their acquaintance with the country begins and the first impression is formed. We set ourselves the goal of making the border control procedure technically convenient and easy both for passengers and for the border guards themselves.
Functions of the PTSPK
- Reading data from the machine-readable zone (MRZ);
- Reading data from the RFID microchip embedded in the passport-visa document (PVD);
- Obtaining photo images and recognizing the visual inspection zone of PVDs in ID-1, ID-2, ID-3 formats;
- Auto-filling of electronic forms based on data read from the PVD;
- Automatic reconciliation of data obtained from the MRZ, the RFID microchip and the visual inspection zone of the PVD;
- Alerting on detected discrepancies in the data obtained from the PVD;
- Automated verification of entered data against control lists and other registration databases;
- Obtaining a photo image of the passenger's face and scanning fingerprints;
- Automatic comparison of biometric information from the RFID microchip with images obtained from the fingerprint scanner and photo camera;
- Providing the ability to manually enter and edit information;
- Full integration into the computing infrastructure of a checkpoint.
Composition and features
The continuous operation time of the PTSPK without recharging is at least 5 hours; the device is protected against dust and rain (enclosure protection rating IP53) and withstands a drop from a height of up to 1.5 m onto a concrete surface. The dimensions of the device are 228.3 × 82.8 × 44.5 mm, allowing it to be easily held in one hand.
The device package includes a 13.0 MP photo camera with autofocus and flash support. To protect against mechanical impact, the device comes with a case fitted with a shoulder/neck strap. For additional fixing of the PVD, the case is equipped with a special clip.
The PTSPK balance is designed so that the entire passport control procedure can be performed with just one hand.
For recharging and data synchronization, the device package includes a desktop cradle for 1 or 4 devices, providing parallel charging of an additional battery when necessary.
