Dahua Technology was founded in 2001 in Hangzhou, China. Initially, the company specialized in manufacturing analog video recorders and cameras. With the development of IP technologies, Dahua was one of the first Chinese manufacturers to actively develop IP video surveillance.

Today Dahua produces more than 2,000 models of video surveillance equipment and holds more than 600 patents. The company invests significant resources in research and development, particularly in the areas of artificial intelligence and video analytics.
