7AVE Electric Motors — energy-efficient series for variable-frequency drive and NPPs

Industrial equipment

7AVE — an energy-efficient series of three-phase induction electric motors with a squirrel-cage rotor, developed by the All-Union Scientific Research, Design and Technological Institute of Electric Machine Building (NIPTIEM) for variable-frequency drives and industrial applications. Motors of the 7AVE series are designed to operate as part of an induction variable-frequency drive with a rotation speed of 1–6000 rpm .

About the manufacturer of the 7AVE series

The developer of the 7AVE electric motor series is PJSC NIPTIEM — the former All-Union Scientific Research, Design and Technological Institute of Electric Machine Building . The institute is known as a leading scientific and technical center for the development, research and production of low-voltage induction electric motors with a power of up to 400 kW .

NIPTIEM has developed a whole range of induction electric motor series: 4A, 4AM, AIR, 5A, 5AM, 6A, 7AVE and their modifications, which are successfully produced by plants in Russia and the CIS countries . Electric motors developed and manufactured by the institute operate at nuclear power plants in Finland, Cuba, Hungary, Bulgaria and at most domestic NPPs. In recent years, electric motors have been supplied for the Tianwan NPP (China), Bushehr (Iran), and Kudankulam (India) .

In 2003, NIPTIEM passed quality system certification and received a GOST R ISO 9001-2001 conformity certificate .

Technical characteristics of the 7AVE series motors

Main parameters

The 7AVE series electric motors are designed as base machines for mechatronic systems and variable-frequency drives . Characteristics:

  • Shaft height: 112–315 mm .
  • Number of poles: 2p=2–8 .
  • Purpose: operation as part of an induction variable-frequency drive with a rotation speed of 1–6000 rpm .

Energy efficiency and savings

The development of a wide range of base variable-frequency motors of the 7AVE series makes it possible to improve the efficiency of developing electrical machines for mechatronic systems. The presented series of variable-frequency electric motors with a shaft height of 112-315 mm, 2p=2-8 allows :

  • Saving up to 25% in the cost of materials for the active parts of the machine.
  • Saving up to 6% in the installed capacity of converters.

Series production

The 7AVE series is being successfully implemented at the enterprises of PJSC NIPTIEM and VEMZ Plant Company LLC (Vladimir Electric Motor Plant) . Currently, NIPTIEM not only develops and produces electric motors, but also creates and modernizes electrochemical complexes and integrated control systems (ICS) "Sungir" .

Industrial applications

  • Variable-frequency drive: operation as part of an induction variable-frequency drive with a rotation speed of 1–6000 rpm .
  • Nuclear energy: supplies to NPPs in Russia and abroad .
  • Compressor equipment: drive of compressors and blower units .
  • Pumps and fans: drive of industrial pumps and fans.
  • Merchant fleet: for sea fleet vessels .
  • Elevator facilities: equipment for freight and passenger elevators .

Technical support

NIPTIEM provides warranty and post-warranty maintenance of its products, service support of third-party manufacturers' products, as well as comprehensive technical maintenance based on converter equipment .
